Note: This class is a prerequisite for the professional program in clinical herbalism and is open to all.
General objective
- Further nutrition knowledge to recognize individual needs, risks of excess or lack of essential nutrients for general health.
Specific objectives
- Learn how to choose quality and appropriate food, according to specific needs, different philosophies and nutritional recommendations.
- Learn how to give judicious nutritional advice.
- Optimize nutrition to prevent or heal various health problems.
Evaluation
- Midterm exam: 40%
- Assignment (nutritional assessment): 20%
- Final exam: 40%
You can also follow this course as a free student (be present in class without being graded and receiving credits).

- Distance education Students must come to class for 4 meetings – one initial meeting as well as 3 afternoons throughout the year – and 2 exams - dates to be determined

The nutrition class is available in French only. The teacher is perfectly bilingual; your questions can be asked and answered in English. You can also do your exams and research projects in English. To follow the class, you need to understand French but not necessarily speak it. If you wish to register but are unsure of your French proficiency, please do not hesitate to contact us. If enough students are interested, we could also offer this class in English.
